Abstract

.

This study is devoted to the application of technology adaptation of the English textbook to simultaneous work with students with different levels of foreign language proficiency. The relevance of the selected research topic is determined by the practical need to solve the problem of teaching a foreign language in heterogeneous groups. In the course of the work the concept of multi-level training is analyzed. The article considers ways of adaptation of educational material within the framework of application of technology of various levels of education. The article considers two types of adaptation - at the level of the installation text of the task and at the level of the content of the task. In the first case, one way to adapt is to restructure the task - from closed to open. The second is to limit the amount of work performed by students with a low level of language proficiency. The practical part of the study presents options for adapting exercises from the textbook "English: workshop of oral and written speech".  The authors believe that the adapted exercises will allow the teacher to simultaneously involve students with different levels of foreign language proficiency, which can positively affect the motivation and academic performance of students.
