INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO AND ITS FORMATION

The formation of an investment portfolio consists in the selection of assets and the rational division of invested funds between them.
This article discusses the essence of the concept of "investment", the main investment instruments, the structure of the investment portfolio, stages, principles of its formation, their types, types of diversification according to various criteria.
The authors analyze various points of view, they single out the main ones from a variety of investment instruments, focus on the structure of the investment portfolio, which can change depending on the situation on the stock market, the economic situation in the world and a particular country, the preferences and goals of the investor, as well as other important factors.
The authors distinguish three types of investment portfolio, six stages and five principles of investment portfolio formation, dwell on its diversification in detail.
