Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • This material has not been previously published, nor has it been submitted for consideration and publication in another journal (originality is at least 80%). All possible conflicts of interest related to copyright and publication of the articles in question have been resolved.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Requirements for articles.
  • The publication of the submitted article does not violate any of the existing copyrights and guarantees the publisher compensation for damages in the event of such violations.

Author Guidelines

The article should be original (articles containing less than 80% of the unique text are not published in the journal), self-sufficient, complete, integral, structured (statement of the objective (problem), theoretical (methodological) justification, description of the main results of theoretical and empirical studies, conclusions), containing a research of the topical problem.

Accompanying documents for the article:

  • application form for publication (all authors make out)(download sample application);
  • expert opinion on the possibility of publication.

Attention! Only a user authorized in the system can download the application form or copyright form.

The article should contain the following elements, given proper form in accordance with the requirements of the journal:

  • the UDC identifier;
  • the title of the article in Russian and English;
  • the names and initials of the author (s) in Russian and English (see recommendations);
  • abstract (a brief description of the paper, which includes the relevance, the formulation of the problem, the ways to solve it, the results and conclusions) in Russian and English languages. The length is 180-250 words (Requirements for writing a resume);
  • keywords (single words, as well as word combinations in the singular and nominative case, can be used as keywords) in Russian and English languages. The number of keywords is 5–10 (Requirements for keywords selection);
  • text of the article (the total volume of the article is 8-12 pages A4 format):
    • page and paragraph: indents from above and from below – 2.5 cm; from the left and from the right – 1.75 cm; tabulation – 1 cm; orientation – portrait; font – Times New Roman, size – 11, line spacing – single, hyphenation – automatic;
    • captions of figures and tables: font – Times New Roman, size – 10, line spacing – single, typeface – bold;
    • text of the article is divided into two columns (column width: 8.5 cm, gap: 0.5 cm);
    • when inserting formulas, use the MS Word formula editor (Equation Editor) or MathType with parameters: elements of the formula for Greek letters and Symbol – font Symbol, for the rest of the elements – font Times New Roman (using the letters of the Russian alphabet in the formula is undesirable). Character size: normal – 11 pt, large index – 7 pt, small index – 5 pt, large character – 18 pt, small character – 11 pt;
    • drawings must be performed with a resolution of 300 dpi, B & W for black and white illustrations, Grayscale for halftones, the maximum size of the picture with caption is 150 mm width, 245 mm height, represented as a file with the extension * .jpg, *. tif, must allow displacement in the text and the possibility of resizing. The journal does not accept articles with colour drawings and / or tables, including those that are rotated vertically (landscape orientation).
  • bibliography (at least 18 sources), prepared in accordance with ГОСТ Р 7.0.100-2018 "Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description". Its sources are located in the order of their citations in the text of the article. References to the literature used are given in the text in square brackets indicating the source number in the bibliographic list (Requirements for references). Self-citation of the journal (a reference to articles in this journal) is NOT allowed.

The text of the article is carefully proofread and signed by the author(s), who is(are) responsible for the originality of the research and the scientific and theoretical level of the published material.

The order of reviewal of articles submitted to the editors of the scientific journal "Modern Technologies. System analysis. Modeling":

• Submitting articles for consideration, the author(s) should strictly adhere to the rules for designing the article and the availability of all accompanying documents;

• the submitted articles are considered by the editorial board in accordance with the rules, see  "Review procedure for science article manuscripts";

• The editorial board reserves the right to reject articles that do not fulfil the established requirements or subject matter of the journal;

• if the article is rejected from publication, the editorial team sends a reasoned refusal to the author;

• the editorial board does not enter into a discussion with authors of rejected materials and does not return the manuscripts.

Copyright Notice

When submitting articles and related materials to the journal "Modern Technologies. System Analysis. Modeling", the author (s) grants (are) the publisher a non-exclusive right to:

  • editing the article without changing its fundamental provisions;
  • use of the work through the sale of the magazine and its distribution by subscription;
  • placement of the full-text version of the work in open access on the websites of the journal, the Scientific Electronic Library (www.elibrary.ru), in other databases of scientific information, electronic library systems, scientific information resources on the Internet;
  • free use of metadata (title, name of the author (copyright holder), annotations, bibliographic materials, etc.) for the purpose of including them in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database and bringing them to the public, processing and systematization in other citation databases.

For distribution of materials, the publisher is transferred the exclusive right of ownership to the manuscript, unless otherwise specified.
