Abstract

Train stations are an integral part of the city's history and cultural heritage. They not only serve as an important transport hub, but are also symbols of progress and development. However, over time, many historic railway stations face the threat of destruction or misuse. In this article, we will consider the importance of preserving the historical heritage of railway stations, which have great architectural and socio-cultural significance, because preservation of historical and cultural values is an important task for society. One of the main methods of preserving the historical buildings of the railway station complexes is restoration and reconstruction. Restoration involves the restoration of the building in its original form, using original materials and technologies. The reconstruction, in turn, allows to preserve the historical value. In some cases, in order to preserve historical sites, it is necessary to carry out conservation of buildings to prevent their further destruction. An important role in the preservation and development of historical railway station buildings is played by financial support that can be provided by the state, railway companies, as well as international organizations and foundations. At the same time, the preservation and restoration of historical sites has an obvious positive economic effect. The preservation of cultural values contributes to the sustainable development of the tourism industry, the creation of new jobs, and the attraction of investments, which makes it possible to ensure the development of cities and regions in the future.
