Abstract

The issues of contact interaction of a wheel and a rail in straight sections of the track in the presence of the phenomenon of elastic slippage (creep) during movement are considered. The movement of a wheelset is modeled taking into account the tortuous movement, its effect on the critical speed of the vehicle and the effect on the occurrence of lateral forces at the point of contact "wheel-rail" is determined.
