LINGUISTIC PECULIARITIES OF ONLINE COMMUNICATION

The article considers some linguistic peculiarities of online communication. The aim of this work is to determine some linguistic peculiarities of informal online communication. The analysis showed that online communication provides the use of shortenings, abbreviations, emoticons, slang words that promote the economy of linguistic means and the display of feelings. In conclusion, it was stated that the study of online communication peculiarities is of certain interest from theoretical and practical points of view.
